Our Project
* The Alexander Haus eV was established in 2013 by local residents and members of the Alexander family.
* Our aim is to transform the Alexander Haus property into a Centre for Education and Reconciliation.
* Our plan is to restore the original lake house and then develop the site so that we can host a variety of rich progamming in the areas of education and reconciliation.
* To this purpose, the charity is working with a many local residents, associations and German and international partners, with the support of community, state and federal governmental agencies and international organisations, foundations and trusts.
* The first step, the restoration of the lake house, is almost finished. The lake house is once again the jewel on the shores of Gross Glienicke lake and is looking forward to a bright future.

The recent history of the Alexander Haus starts with the research and publication of the "The House by the Lake" by Thomas Harding.

Unser Projekt
* Der Alexander Haus e.V. wurde 2013 von Ortsanwohnern von Groß Glienicke und Mitgliedern der Familie Alexander gegründet.
* Unser Ziel ist es, das Alexander Haus zu einem Ort für Bildung und Versöhnung zu entwickeln.
* Unser Plan ist es, das ursprüngliche Sommerhaus wiederherzustellen und dann das Grundstück so zu entwickeln, dass uns gestattet, Gastgeber eines vielfältigen wie reichhaltigen Programms in den Bereichen Bildung und Versöhnung zu sein.
* Zu diesem Zweck arbeitet der Verein mit vielen Menschen vor Ort, Verbänden, deutschen und internationalen Partnern zusammen, unterstützt von kommunalen, Landes- und Bundesbehörden sowie internationalen Organisationen und Stiftungen.
* Der erste Schritt, die Restaurierung des Sommerhauses ist fast abgeschlossen. Das Sommerhaus ist wieder ein Juwel am Ufer des Groß Glienicker Sees und sieht einer hellen Zukunft entgegen.
Das Buch
Die jüngste Geschichte des Alexander Hauses beginnt mit der Recherche und Veröffentlichung von „Sommerhaus am See" von Thomas Harding.
